A new cafe in West Seattle is set to open serving up all three, with the goal of becoming a “neighborhood destination.” To sweeten the pot they’ll have select coffees from revered Nordic roasters, alongside a coffee menu anchored by local heroes Olympia Coffee Roasting Company. This is exciting news indeed for West Seattle, which will welcome these newbies Sound & Fog sometime this month.

“A four-month labor of love” – after 2 years of planning – has finally brought Justin Krebs to opening day for Sound & Fog in The Junction, on the ground floor of Broadstone Sky (4745 40th SW). The coffee/wine bar with beer and “small bites” opened its doors for the first time around noon and will be open until 9 tonight (official hours below).

West Seattle beverages: Sound & Fog set for Broadstone Sky

Back when what’s now Broadstone Sky (4745 40th SW) went through Design Review in 2013, board members pushed for the project to include a commercial café-type space on its north side, adjacent to what will eventually be a city park. The space became part of the plan, and now it has a tenant, just signed: A coffee-and-more café to be called Sound & Fog.
